Ooh, I love that the school is doing Terracycle. Let me know what they collect, and we can send stuff your way if it would help.

On another note, I recently noticed that Ellwood Thompson's now has a collection bin for plastic lids from bottles!

Also, for business and event recycling, there's a new business called Wrecycleit (http://www.wrecycleit.com/) that takes:

My boys' school is active in a bunch of brigades. It's best, of course, to reduce how much packaging you're taking home to start with, but for what you still wish to purchase, it's nice to have a way to recycle it instead of sending it to the landfill. The bonus is that our school makes a little bit of money. My 8 y/o son has taken on the role of family Terracycler - I put recyclables in a spot in the pantry and he collects them and takes them in to school whenever he notices they're piling up.
